Tiger (Panthera tigris)

The tiger is the largest of all big cats and a symbol of power and grace. Found across Asia, tigers inhabit diverse landscapes, from dense tropical forests to grassy plains and mangroves. Each tiger’s striped coat is unique, acting as perfect camouflage in their natural habitat.

Tigers are solitary hunters, stalking prey such as deer, wild boar, and even larger animals like water buffalo. They are powerful swimmers and often cool off in waterholes during hot weather. Sadly, tigers are endangered due to habitat loss, poaching, and human-wildlife conflict. Conservation programs such as the establishment of tiger reserves and anti-poaching initiatives have been vital in stabilizing their numbers in some regions.
