Whooper Swan

The whooper swan is a majestic waterbird known for its long neck, pure white plumage, and yellow-and-black beak. Native to Europe and Asia, it migrates seasonally between breeding grounds in the Arctic tundra and wintering areas in temperate regions. Whooper swans are monogamous and often mate for life, building large nests near lakes or rivers. They are powerful fliers, capable of traveling great distances during migration. While not endangered, habitat loss and pollution pose challenges to their populations.
